Suffolk Mushrooms Help Educate Children on the Mighty Mushroom

Suffolk Mushrooms help to educate children

Suffolk Mushrooms are delighted to anounce their involvement at next years Kids Country Day. For the second year running, Suffolk Mushrooms will support the East of England Agricultural Society as they invite schools to a learning experience aimed at detailing the journey from \'Farm to Fork\' for children in a fun and active way.

The Kids Country programme run by the East of England Agricultural Society is a programme of events aimed at Key Stages 2,3 and 4 which will be launched on November 30th 2012 at the Smithfield Festival. It will run through the calendar year delivering a learning experience in a fun and active way through food, farming and countryside topics. It is also designed to interface with the Children\'s University initiative which is in turn supported by the Peterborough Learning Partnership.

On July 5th 2013, all the elements of the 12 month programme will be brought together in a Kids Country Day that promises to be both educational and fun in equal measures! The event will include The Sheep Show, A Kids Kitchen, Animal Grandstand, The Food Story, Animals on the Farm, Rural Crafts, A Sheep Dog display and An Africal village.

Suffolk Mushrooms have been tasked on the day with educating school children and adults alike on the life of the \'Mighty Mushroom\'. There will be pictures and videos to watch and of course mushrooms, soil and all things \'mushroomy\' to touch and feel. We look forward to it already!
