Walsh Mushrooms invests £225,000 in solar panels at their Evesham depot.
Evesham-based Walsh Mushrooms will generate 20% of its annual energy use from new 950-panel solar installation.
The 248KWp system, installed by local energy firm MyPower, will produce 20% of the depot's annual energy use equating to 213.347 kwh of electricity. All electricity generated by the panels will be used by the Walsh Mushrooms facility.
''This renewable solar energy investment fits with our on-going group wide policy to deliver a sustainable product to our customers'', said chairman Alan Walsh. ''It also enhances our on-going commitment to renewable resources, something we as a company feel passionate about''.
