Walsh Mushrooms set up Suffolk Mushrooms in 2010 in response to a growing demand for UK Mushrooms. The farm is now growing a significant volume of mushrooms per week for the retail and catering trade in the UK.
The strength of the local heritage in the East Anglia region was something we didn't truly appreciate and we have embraced the opportunity to integrate ourselves into the local community by exhibiting at several local 'Real Food' festivals. These Include:
• The Greene King Real Food & Beer Festival in May 2011
• The Big Onion Festival at Elveden Estate on 6th August 2011
• The Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival from 23rd Sept- 9th Oct 2011
These Festivals have been a marvellous opportunity for us to meet the local suppliers of other quality products and of course the end users - the consumers. We simply couldn't keep up with the demand for our mushrooms which bears testament to the quality we insist on at Walsh Mushrooms.
